Job summary

VMC Soft Technologies, Inc. is seeking a seasoned VMware System Administrator in Bangalore (Whitefield area) to manage and optimize a VMware production environment. The role requires hands-on experience with vSphere 5.x/6.x/7.x, Windows Server technologies, and scripting for automation.

You will monitor, triage, and resolve incidents while contributing to standards and security practices. The candidate will install, upgrade, and maintain VMware infrastructure, enforce ITIL-based processes, and

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in VMware environments.
• Strong knowledge of vSphere 5.x, 6.x, 7.x.
• Experience with Windows Server technologies.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and incident/change management.

Responsibilities

• Monitor VMware infrastructure and proactively address issues.
• Install, upgrade, and maintain VMware environment.
• Document and review standards and operating procedures.
• Support upgrades and migrations per SG global standards.

Role Descriptions: VMWare Administration

VMWare System administrator with strong focus towards automation.

Knowledge of Operating systems [Windows and UNIX]

Knowledge of Server Hardware [DELL & HP Servers]

Environment

Maintain a stable and reliable VMware Production Environment.

Monitor the VMware infrastructure and take proactive actions when needed.

Must have good knowledge on vSphere 5.x, 6.x, 7.x

Must have good knowledge of Windows Server technologies

Must have good knowledge on Power shell

Missions

Monitor, triage & troubleshoot Virtual / Hardware server related incidents.

Install, upgrade, maintain and support VMware infrastructure.

Monitor the VMware infrastructure and take proactive actions when needed.

Contribute to document and review standards and operational procedures.

Enforce technical and security standards for Windows infrastructures and services.

Follow internal processes at all time (ITIL, time tracking, escalation).

Work closely with peers worldwide by taking part in periodic meetings and sharing knowledge.

Handle system upgrades and migrations, in accordance with latest technology trends and SG global standards."
