Job summary

Madhya Pradesh Steel Industry is seeking a skilled VMC and EDM operator with injection mould machining background. You will generate CAM toolpaths, set up VMC and EDM to tight 0.01 mm tolerances, and calibrate probes. Knowledge of GD&T and precision measurement will be used daily.

Candidate should have 2+ years on-machine VMC/EDM experience and 1–2+ years CAM toolpath generation. ITI/Diploma in Mechanical/Tool & Die is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years on-machine VMC/EDM experience with CAM toolpath exposure.
• ITI or Diploma in Mechanical/Tool & Die or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Set work coordinates, tool offsets, and calibrate dial indicators/probes.

Job description

Looking for skilled VMC and EDM operator who has had a background in Injection Mould machining and designing.

Responsibilities:

• Generate 2D/3D toolpaths in CAM (Fusion 360/Mastercam/PowerMill/NX) and optimize G-code.
• Set up and run VMC (Fanuc/Mitsubishi) and EDM (Sinker) to tight tolerances (0.01 mm).
• Set work coordinates (G54G59), tool offsets, and calibrate dial indicators/probes.
• Machine/align electrodes, calculate spark gaps, and set up multi-pass wire cuts.
• Inspect first-piece parts using micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and GD&T drawings.

Required Knowledge:

• CAM/VMC: Adaptive roughing, finishing, feeds/speeds for tool steels & aluminum, BT40 tooling, fixture setup.
• EDM: Wire threading, taper/skim passes, deionizing resin upkeep, sinker flushing & orbital burns.
• Metrology: GD&T print reading, runout/perpendicularity checks, precision bench layout.

Candidate Profile:

• 2+ years on-machine experience (VMC + EDM) with 1–2+ years CAM toolpath generation.
• ITI / Diploma (Mechanical / Tool & Die) or proven trade experience.
