Job summary

Capgemini in Hyderabad seeks an experienced Mainframe Developer to design, build, and maintain complex banking applications using VisionPLUS and COBOL/CICS. The role includes leading technical tasks for small to mid-size projects and providing production support, with strong exposure to Endevor, Changeman, and batch scheduling.

You will work in a DevOps/Agile environment, collaborating with teams and stakeholders, while leveraging Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of development and maintenance experience on complex banking apps.
• Strong knowledge of VisionPLUS product and its modules.
• Hands-on experience with VisionPLUS modules like CMS, FAS, TRAMS, LTS, ASM, VMX, WINGSFM.
• Proficiency in COBOL and CICS.
• Familiar with Mainframe tools like Endevor, Changeman and batch scheduling.
• Experience in designing/solving medium to high complexity problems.
• Knowledge of DevOps and Agile practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience as a technical lead for small to mid-size projects.
• Experience in production support and crisis handling.
• Familiar with Jira and Confluence.
• Knowledge of digital technologies and APIs.

Job description

• 4+ experience in development and maintenance of complex banking applications such as credit card processing
• Strong knowledge of VisionPLUS product.
• Strong hands-on working knowledge in one or more VisionPLUS modules viz. CMS, FAS, TRAMS, LTS, ASM, VMX, WINGSFM etc.
• Strong knowledge of COBOL and CICS
• Must be well versed with Mainframe technologies such as Endevor, Changeman and batch scheduling activities.
• Experience in design and development of medium to high complex problems
• Good knowledge and experience of DevOps & Agile discipline
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills
• Exposure of working as a technical lead for small to medium size projects
• Experience of development projects and production support, specifically handling crisis situations.
• Experience in Jira, Confluence etc
• Knowledge on Digital Technologies and APIs.
