Job summary

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. is seeking a Vigilance/Security professional to lead shift-in-charge duties, monitor security operations, and implement procedures to safeguard assets and personnel at the Nagpur region.

The role requires prior defence/paramilitary background, manufacturing experience with union environments, and strong incident handling capabilities. The candidate will oversee CCTV and access control systems, coordinate emergency responses, liaise with authorities, and conduct security

Qualifications

• Ex-Defence or paramilitary with 15–20 years in Security/Vigilance.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in manufacturing with union environment.
• Age up to 45 (50 for deserving candidates).
• Preference for candidates from Haryana.

Responsibilities

• Perform the role of Shift In-Charge - Security/Vigilance.
• Monitor and control shift operations of Security.
• Deploy and monitor security deployment in shift.
• Strengthen and streamline security procedures.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs for movement of personnel and materials.
• Coordinate during emergencies (fire, natural calamities, etc.).
• Train guards and maintain discipline.
• Operate CCTV, Access Control and related security equipment.
• Regulate movement of men/materials with gate passes.
• Prevent unauthorized entry and manage security around premises.
• Handle traffic and parking management.
• Implement measures to prevent theft/pilferage; monitor material movement.
• Regulate RGP/NRGP procedures.
• Investigate misconduct/theft incidents.
• Liaise with Police and local communities; build intelligence network.
• Conduct security MIS/audits and prepare reports.
• General admin duties; manage contractual labour; enforce SOPs; PSARA compliance.
• Proficient computer skills (Email, Excel, Word); CCTV expertise.
• Proficient in Hindi and English communication.

Job Profile Description (JD) – Vigilance /Security

Experience:

• Ex-Defence (Army/Navy/Air Force) or Paramilitary forces (BSF/ CRPF/ITBP) with minimum 15-20 experience in Security/Vigilance.
• Minimum compulsory 4 years’ experience in Manufacturing Industry with Union environment post forces tenure
• Preferably from Haryana.

Age- Up to 45 years only (relax-able to 50 years in case of deserving candidates meeting experience QR above)

Role:

• Perform the role and responsibilities of Shift In charge - Security/ Vigilance.
• Monitoring and control of shift operations of Security.
• Deployment, control and monitoring of Security deployment in shift.
• Strengthening & streamlining of security procedures.
• Ensure adherence/implementation of SOPs for move of men and material.
• Coordinate all the activities in case of any kind of emergency, i.e., fire / natural calamities / other contingencies.
• Training and development of guards & maintaining discipline on continuous basis as per need of the organization.
• Should have an understanding of operations of CCTV, Access Control, Flap Barriers and other security equipment.

Access Control / Men & Material Management

• Regulating movement of men/material during shifts through proper documentation/ gate passes.
• Preventing any kind of unauthorized entry into the premises.
• Handling of unwanted elements around the premises, diffusing the situation as and when required.
• Traffic / parking management.

Loss Prevention/ Theft Control / Investigations

• Implementation of security measures to avoid / minimize theft / pilferage incidents.
• Proper monitoring of material movement including scrap.
• Proper regulation of RGP/ NRGP.
• Investigation in various misconduct / theft related issues.

Liaison & Intelligence gathering in IR environment

• To liaise & strengthen/maintain cordial relations with Police authorities and surrounding villagers
• To develop network to obtain inside/beforehand information concerning both internal and external factors.
• Development of Intelligence network among other industries.

MIS & Audit

• Conducting security audit on a regular basis in order to identify and close gaps in the existing security system.
• Select, design, implement and manage security measure to reduce risk of loss through continual use of auditing, review & assessment.
• Preparation & submission of various reports and MIS

General Administrative Work

• Monitoring & creating discipline workforce including Contractual labour etc.
• Impose financial penalty for various acts of indiscipline as per laid down SOP.
• Scrutinization & processing of vendor bills.
• Should be well versed with Statutory compliances including PSARA Actetc.

Computer Skills

• Good knowledge of Computers (E-mail, Excel, Word, Presentations).
• Excellent knowledge of CCTV surveillance system.

Linguistic Skills

• Written and verbalproficiencyin Hindi and English
