Job summary

IT PRIME TV is seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our Hyderabad newsroom. You will edit daily news bulletins, interviews, and special reports for television and digital platforms, while crafting engaging graphics and motion content.

You will design thumbnails and social media visuals, optimize content for YouTube and other platforms, and collaborate with Editorial, News Production, and Marketing teams to grow audience engagement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in editing daily news content and creating engaging video packages.
• Strong storytelling, creative editing, and ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom.
• Proficiency in motion graphics and title/graphics creation for TV and digital.
• Knowledge of social media formats and optimization for various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Edit daily news bulletins, interviews, and special reports for TV and digital platforms.
• Create professional video packages with lower thirds, tickers, and motion graphics.
• Design engaging thumbnails and graphics for online channels and social media.
• Produce short-form content for social platforms like Reels/Shorts and repurpose longer content.
• Coordinate with Editorial, News Production, Marketing, and Social teams for optimized content.

Job Summary

The Video Editor & Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating high-quality video content, news graphics, social media creatives, YouTube thumbnails, reels, shorts, and promotional materials. The ideal candidate should possess strong editing, graphic design, motion graphics, and storytelling skills while thriving in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Video Editing & News Production

• Edit daily news bulletins, interviews, panel discussions, special reports, event coverage, and promotional videos.
• Create professional video packages for television broadcasts and digital platforms.
• Add lower thirds, tickers, transitions, animations, subtitles, sound effects, and motion graphics.
• Ensure timely delivery of content for breaking news and scheduled programming.
• Maintain high standards of video quality, storytelling, and editorial accuracy.
• Perform color correction, audio enhancement, and final output optimization.
• Organize and manage media assets efficiently.

Graphic Design & News Visuals

• Design news graphics, title cards, social media creatives, promotional banners, infographics, and event-related visuals.
• Create visually appealing content aligned with IT PRIME TV's brand identity.
• Develop graphics for technology, business, startup, corporate, and industry news stories.
• Create presentation graphics and visual elements for special programs and live broadcasts.
• Maintain consistency across television and digital media branding.

YouTube Thumbnail Creation

• Design engaging and high-performing thumbnails for news videos, interviews, debates, podcasts, and special features.
• Create compelling thumbnail concepts that improve click-through rates (CTR) and audience engagement.
• Develop thumbnail templates that strengthen channel branding and recognition.

Social Media Reels & Shorts

• Create and edit short-form content for Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter).
• Repurpose long-form interviews, discussions, event coverage, and news stories into engaging bite-sized content.
• Optimize content for platform-specific requirements and audience behavior.
• Stay updated with social media trends, audience preferences, and algorithm changes.

Digital Content & Audience Engagement

• Collaborate with Editorial, News Production, Marketing, and Social Media teams.
• Optimize visual content for audience growth, engagement, and retention.
• Ensure content is tailored for television, mobile, web, and social media consumption.
• Support live event coverage, special programs, technology summits, and digital campaigns.
• Contribute creative ideas to improve channel visibility and viewer engagement.
