Job summary

DesignBoxed in Bengaluru (Bangalore) is seeking a Video Editor with 1–4 years of experience to craft political content for social platforms. You will identify strong hooks, edit speeches and campaigns, and deliver platform-native cuts with engaging pacing and motion graphics.

Proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects is essential, with knowledge of DaVinci Resolve a plus. Fluency in English, Hindi, and Kannada helps contextualize content for diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of experience as Video Editor, preferably in political campaigns or digital media.
• Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects.
• Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve is a plus.
• Strong understanding of Reels, Shorts, YouTube and social-first video.
• Pacing, storytelling, music, typography and visual composition proficiency.
• Ability to extract the story from raw footage and craft it clearly.
• Ability to work quickly in a fast-moving, deadline-heavy environment.

We’re looking for a Video Editor who can find it, cut it, and make people stop scrolling.

This isn’t just about knowing Premiere Pro.

It’s about having the editing instinct to know what stays, what goes, where the cut lands, when the music hits, and what keeps someone watching.

You understand political storytelling, short form content, internet culture, and how content moves online.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Edit political content for Instagram Reels, YouTube, Facebook, X & WhatsApp
• Turn speeches, interviews, rallies, event footage, explainers and campaign videos into sharp, engaging, platform native content
• Watch long form footage and identify the strongest hooks, moments and soundbites
• Create cuts, transitions, subtitles, text animations, graphics, motion and visual effects that add to the story
• Get the pace, context and visual language right for every platform
• Adapt videos across different formats, durations, aspect ratios and languages
• Work closely with writers, graphic designers, photographers, strategists and campaign teams
• Handle multiple edits and priorities without letting quality or attention to detail slip
• Deliver high quality work on tight deadlines

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

• 1 to 4 years of experience as a Video Editor, preferably in political campaigns, digital media, advertising, news or other high volume content environments
• Strong command of Adobe Premiere Pro & After Effects
• Knowledge of DaVinci Resolve is a plus
• Strong understanding of Reels, Shorts, YouTube and social first video
• Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, music, typography and visual composition
• Ability to take raw footage and figure out what the story actually is
• Ability to work quickly in a fast moving, deadline heavy environment
• Strong command of English, Hindi & Kannada, including the political and cultural context behind the content
• Comfortable making creative decisions independently and adapting to changing priorities
