Job summary

Unacademy is seeking a creative Video Editor to transform raw footage into engaging educational content for millions of learners. You will edit long-form and short-form videos, create reels and promotional content, and add motion graphics, captions and sound effects.

Collaborate with educators and marketing teams to deliver high-quality content that follows brand guidelines. The role requires proficiency in Premiere Pro, After Effects, and/or Final Cut Pro, with strong storytelling and a keen

Qualifications

• Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects or Final Cut Pro.
• Strong storytelling, pacing and visual composition.
• Experience editing content for YouTube, Reels and Shorts across platforms.
• Understanding of motion graphics, typography and visual aesthetics.
• Attention to detail and ability to own multiple projects.

What You'll Do

• Edit long-form and short-form educational videos for multiple digital platforms
• Create engaging reels, shorts, promotional videos, and marketing creatives
• Add motion graphics, transitions, captions, sound effects, and visual enhancements
• Collaborate with educators, content creators, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality content.
• Ensure videos align with brand guidelines and platform best practices
• Optimize content for YouTube, Instagram, and other digital channels
• Manage multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines

Who We're Looking For

• Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or similar editing tools
• Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, transitions, and visual composition
• Experience editing content for YouTube, Instagram Reels, Shorts, and social media platforms
• Good understanding of motion graphics, typography, and visual aesthetics
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume content environment
• Strong attention to detail and ownership mindset

Bonus Points If You

• Have prior experience working in EdTech, Media, Creator Economy, or Digital Content companies
• Have experience editing educational content or creator-led videos
• Understand YouTube retention, audience engagement, and content optimization
• Can create motion graphics and animations using After Effects
