Job summary

Professor Academy is seeking a creative Video Editor to craft high-quality educational videos and engaging short-form content. You will handle long-form classes, tutorials, and training materials, while producing reels and YouTube Shorts to boost reach.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of video editing experience, proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects, and a flair for motion graphics. This is an onsite role based in Thirumangalam, Madurai, with immediate joining encouraged.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of video editing experience in education or media
• Proficient with Premiere Pro, After Effects; DaVinci Resolve/Final Cut Pro a plus
• Experience in motion graphics and animations preferred
• Familiarity with Photoshop/Illustrator is a plus

Role Overview

As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for creating high-quality educational videos and short-form content that drives engagement and enhances learning experiences.

• Edit long-form educational videos (classes, tutorials, training content)

• Apply storytelling techniques to improve engagement and retention

Eligibility Criteria

• 2–3 years of experience in video editing
• Hands-on experience with tools such as:
  • Adobe Premiere Pro
  • After Effects
  • DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut Pro (added advantage)
• Experience in motion graphics and animations is preferred
• Familiarity with design tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, or InDesign is a plus
• Strong understanding of editing techniques, pacing, and storytelling
