Job summary

reputed company is seeking a Vice President and Portfolio Manager, Investments (Fixed Income) to manage the investment-grade portfolio and optimize net investment income while balancing risk and ALM constraints.

The role reports to the SVP Head of Fixed Income and collaborates with CIO and investment team members in a hybrid setup, with three days in office and two remote, located in the reputed company or Warren, NJ office.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in fixed income, with preference for those with corporate credit background.
• MBA or CFA designation preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced financial modeling skills required.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
• Demonstrated ownership and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Generating above excess returns and net investment income, while remaining in strict risk management and ALM constraints.
• Coordinate fixed income trading across managers, and report on results.
• Partner effectively with internal portfolio managers and investment teams.
• Produce recurring market and portfolio summaries for senior management reporting.
• Conduct ongoing credit surveillance for fixed income holdings, including maintaining a credit watchlist and escalation recommendations.
• RFP/RFQ manager searches and routine manager due diligence and performance surveillance.
• Support the launch of new portfolios and strategies, including implementation planning.
• Enhance asset-liability management (ALM) by partnering with treasury and finance to position portfolios with liability profile.
• Invest­ment information systems initiatives to improve data, tooling, and reporting workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners on firmwide initiatives related to investment, operations, and governance.
