Job summary

BNY in Pune seeks a Vice President to join our Fund and Investor Solutions Operations team. You will lead derivative accounting and post-trade processes for premier clients, ensuring timely, accurate recording and strong client service.

You will manage multiple teams, drive automation, and collaborate with Operations, Accounting, Front Office and Technology to address issues and implement sustainable solutions. You will recruit, develop, and motivate staff to maximize contributions and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education is required.
• 12+ years' work experience with derivative processing, reconciliation management and/ or the custody business.
• Previous experience as a manager.
• Proven experience implementing change.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills – and ability to interact with senior Bank leadership and our clients.

Job Description

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President to join our Fund and Investor Solutions Operations team. This role is located in Pune.

• Responsible for supporting our clients’ derivative accounting processes and post-trade functions to ensure timely and accurate recording of derivative transactions into our client accounts. Our clients include many of the premier pension funds, mutual funds, hedge funds, endowments and other financial institutions that use over-the counter and cleared derivatives to manage their financial risks
• Responsibility to implement change and develop highly transferable skillsets.
• Amongst others these include complex derivative product knowledge covering swaps, options, forwards, and futures, project management, key industry processing systems, and client support and relationship management Manages multiple teams responsible for derivative trade capture across multiple systems; You will help them understand complex transactions, understand BNY systems, and identify potential issues
• Leads teams that work with Investment Managers to address behavior, facilitate automation, reduce bespoke processes, and elevate issues
• Partners with teams across Operations, Accounting, and Front Office to address issues stemming from, and impacting, trade capture – looking for strategic, consistent, and sustainable approaches to address problems
• Partners with Technology on strategic initiatives; Drives a cohesive and consistent approach for long- term, multi-phased projects
• Works creatively to develop and implement Ops owned tools for short term impact
• Recruits, directs, motivates and develops staff, maximizing their individual contributions, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following
