Job summary

BNY in Pune seeks a Senior Specialist, Production Services Application Support Analyst to join its Wealth Services Engineering team.

You will provide critical support and act as a liaison between internal Pershing teams, Client Support, external groups, and users of Pershing hosted applications to resolve issues quickly and accurately. This role requires MS Windows, scripting, multi-tier architectures, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Investigate issues from software, processes, usage or releases and route to correct teams.
• Support production and non-production environments with on-call flexibility.
• Create technical reports and document procedures; participate in problem management.

Senior Specialist, Production Services Application Support Analyst

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist , Production Services Application Support Analyst to join our Wealth Services Engineering team. This role is located in Pune.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

• Provide critical support and act as a liaison between internal Pershing technical and non-technical teams, Client Support, external third-party application support groups, and users of Pershing hosted applications to quickly and accurately resolve customer and application issues.
• Investigate and diagnose issues that may arise from software, business processes, usage, or recent software releases, routing unresolved problems to relevant teams.
• Support core application with flexibility for out-of-hours and on-call support for high priority incidents.
• Create technical reports, document application procedures, investigate software/process quality, and participate in problem management related to applications.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Experience with MS Windows OS Server editions and MS Office suite.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as PowerShell, VB Script, JavaScript, or shell scripting.
• Understanding of multi-tier application architecture and web/internet-based applications.
• Experience with issue/problem tracking systems such as BMC Remedy or ServiceNow, SRE, Automation and AI Knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of diagnosing network-related technical issues.
• Experience working in production and non-production environments.
• Experience working in a 24x7 on-call support facility and handling application recovery during out-of-hours priority incidents.
• Familiarity with Application Performance Management (APM) tools such as Dynatrace, Nagios, AppDynamics.
• Experience with monitoring and management tools like Splunk, Grafana, ThousandEyes, 1Desk, Control-M, Moogsoft.
• Preferable: Knowledge of load-balanced environments (BigIP F5, Cisco, Citrix), Unix/Linux and Wintel environments, Message Queuing (IBM WebSphere MQ or Microsoft MQ), Storage/NAS, SQL Server or other RDBMS, and Incident/Change Management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Positive attitude with willingness to support all products and respond to live problems with utmost priority.
• Experience engaging with clients and stakeholders to resolve technical and business queries.
