Job summary

Zoho in India seeks an experienced Finance Advisory Leader to manage buy-side and sell-side engagements, serving as the main client contact and delivering high-quality FDD reports.

You will build operational insights using data analytics, guide a 3–5 person team, and coordinate with US leads on scoping and fees, applying US GAAP/IFRS insights and AI-enabled tools.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA/CFA or MBA/PGDM in Finance/Accounting.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience in a professional services firm; FDD experience is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead buy-side and sell-side transaction advisory engagements, managing day-to-day delivery and serving as a principal point of contact with client personnel.
• Draft and review tailored FDD / VDD reports specific to key issues such as earnings normalization, budget believability, operational insights, indebtedness considerations, and post-transaction working capital analysis.
• Develop operational insights using data and analytics to identify drivers of profitability and evaluate key risks and opportunities.
• Build sector expertise across multiple industries and develop the firm’s industry capability.
• Project management including scoping, effort estimation, work planning and staffing, quality review, progress review, and team guidance.
• Manage team members (Associates and Senior Associates) on engagements, reviewing their work and coaching them.
• People management of 3-5 team members, including KPIs and development roadmap, training and coaching, and performance assessment.
• Lead diligence discussions with client and target management.
• Lead proposal development and pitch preparation; partner with US engagement leads on scoping, fee estimation, and client conversion.
• Learn and deploy new-age technologies to enhance insights and efficiency on engagements (tech stack includes AI platforms, Alteryx, PowerQuery, PowerBI).
• Establish strong professional relationships with colleagues and clients.

• Experience: The candidate must have 7 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar role in a professional services firm. FDD experience is a must.

Preferred Skills

7. Ability to present findings clearly to US-based clients in written and verbal form; comfortable with some overlap with Client’s business hours as needed

10. Prior experience in project scoping, effort estimation, work planning, team handling, staffing, and performance management
