Job summary

Zinca Advisory in India seeks an experienced professional to lead end-to-end diligence work streams under VP oversight. The role involves in-depth analysis of financial information, identifying issues, and guiding management questions.

You will drive diligence calls, draft FDD/VDD sections, and develop actionable insights using data analytics and our tech stack including AI platforms, Alteryx, PowerQuery, and PowerBI.

Qualifications

  • Qualified CA/CPA/CFA or MBA/PGDM with 4–7 years in a similar professional services role; FDD experience is a must.
  • Strong accounting knowledge (US GAAP & IFRS) and financial statement analysis.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; ability to present complex data clearly.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end work streams (QofE, Net Working Capital, Net Debt, Proof of Cash) under VP oversight.
  • Analyze trial balances, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows.
  • Identify issues, quantify adjustments, and frame questions for management.
  • Lead diligence calls and management Q&A on assigned work streams.
  • Draft and review key sections of FDD / VDD reports.
  • Develop operational insights using data analytics to identify profitability drivers and risks.
  • Build sector expertise aligned to the engagement portfolio.
  • Review work of juniors and coach them; take ownership for learning and development of 1–2 juniors.
  • Learn and deploy new-age technologies to enhance insights (AI/Alteryx/PowerQuery/PowerBI).
  • Provide ad-hoc pre-acquisition and post-acquisition support; maintain strong client relationships.

Job description

  1. 1. Lead end-to-end work streams (e.g., Quality of Earnings (QofE), Net Working Capital, Net Debt, Proof of Cash) under VP oversight
  2. 2. Conduct in-depth analysis of financial information, including trial balances, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows
  3. 3. Identify key issues, quantify adjustments, and frame questions for management
  4. 4. Lead diligence calls and management Q&A on assigned work streams
  5. 5. Draft and review key sections of FDD / VDD reports
  6. 6. Develop operational insights using data and analytics to identify drivers of profitability and evaluate key risks and opportunities
  7. 7. Build sector expertise (e.g., industrial, SaaS, healthcare, etc.) aligned to the engagement portfolio
  8. 8. Review the work performed by junior team members and coach them
  9. 9. Take responsibility for the learning and development of 1-2 junior members
  10. 10. Learn and deploy new-age technologies to enhance insights and efficiency on engagements (our tech stack includes AI platforms, Alteryx, PowerQuery, PowerBI, etc.)
  11. 11. Other ad-hoc pre-acquisition and post-acquisition due diligence support tasks
  12. 12. Establish strong professional relationships with internal / external clients
Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • – Qualifications: CA / CPA / CFA / Master’s / MBA or PGDM in Finance or Accounting.
  • – Experience: The candidate must have 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role in a professional services firm. FDD experience is a must.

Preferred Skills:

  1. 1. Strong knowledge of accounting and financial skills (US GAAP and IFRS)
  2. 2. Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  3. 3. Excellent written / verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills
  4. 4. Highly motivated with an exceptional work ethic, and a demonstrated ability and desire to work cooperatively with team members and client professionals
  5. 5. Strong analytical abilities; knowledge of data analytics tools is an added advantage
  6. 6. Curiosity about and willingness to adopt AI tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of financial analysis and client deliverables
  7. 7. Ability to present findings clearly to US-based clients in written and verbal form; comfortable with some overlap with Client’s business hours as needed
  8. 8. Personal drive to deliver accurate, high-quality work under tight deal timelines
  9. 9. Intellectual curiosity with the ability to ask the right questions and go beyond the numbers
