Job summary

Zoho is seeking an experienced Due Diligence Analyst to lead end-to-end work streams, including QofE, NWC, and cash flow analyses. You will assess financial data, identify key issues, and prepare FDD/VDD reports for US-based clients.

The role requires 4–7 years in a similar advisory position, with strong accounting knowledge, Excel/PowerPoint proficiency, and the ability to present findings clearly to clients. Familiarity with AI tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA/CFA/MBA or PGDM in Finance or Accounting.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in a similar role in a professional services firm.
• FDD experience is a must.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Excel and PowerPoint proficiency.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job description

1. Lead end-to-end work streams (e.g., Quality of Earnings (QofE), Net Working Capital, Net Debt, Proof of Cash) under VP oversight

2. Conduct in-depth analysis of financial information, including trial balances, income statements, balance sheets, and cash flows

3. Identify key issues, quantify adjustments, and frame questions for management

4. Lead diligence calls and management Q&A on assigned work streams

5. Draft and review key sections of FDD / VDD reports

6. Develop operational insights using data and analytics to identify drivers of profitability and evaluate key risks and opportunities

7. Build sector expertise (e.g., industrial, SaaS, healthcare, etc.) aligned to the engagement portfolio

8. Review the work performed by junior team members and coach them

9. Take responsibility for the learning and development of 1-2 junior members

10. Learn and deploy new-age technologies to enhance insights and efficiency on engagements (our tech stack includes AI platforms, Alteryx, PowerQuery, PowerBI, etc.)

11. Other ad-hoc pre-acquisition and post-acquisition due diligence support tasks

12. Establish strong professional relationships with internal / external clients

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

– Qualifications: CA / CPA / CFA / Master’s / MBA or PGDM in Finance or Accounting.

– Experience: The candidate must have 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role in a professional services firm. FDD experience is a must.

Preferred Skills:

1. Strong knowledge of accounting and financial skills (US GAAP and IFRS)

2. Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills

3. Excellent written / verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills

4. Highly motivated with an exceptional work ethic, and a demonstrated ability and desire to work cooperatively with team members and client professionals

5. Strong analytical abilities; knowledge of data analytics tools is an added advantage

6. Curiosity about and willingness to adopt AI tools to enhance the quality and efficiency of financial analysis and client deliverables

7. Ability to present findings clearly to US-based clients in written and verbal form; comfortable with some overlap with Client’s business hours as needed

8. Personal drive to deliver accurate, high-quality work under tight deal timelines

9. Intellectual curiosity with the ability to ask the right questions and go beyond the numbers
