Job summary

EXL is seeking a core technologist and delivery leader to establish and scale the Enterprise Digital Delivery within the Enterprise Digital function, driving technology-led transformation and shaping enterprise application strategy for a global digital journey.

The role designs, delivers, and governs enterprise applications (SaaS, ERP, CRM, BPM) while embedding cloud-native, API-led architectures, AI/ML, and automation to deliver business outcomes at scale across diverse functions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading enterprise application delivery across SaaS, ERP, CRM, and BPM.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise/solution architecture and API-first integration.
• Hands-on with cloud-native/hybrid models and modern tech like AI/ML and automation.

Responsibilities

• Establish and scale the Enterprise Application Delivery CoE with a future-focused tech strategy.

EXL is seeking a core technologist and delivery leader to establish and scale the Enterprise Digital Delivery within the Enterprise Digital function. This role is pivotal in driving technology-led transformation, shaping enterprise application strategy, and building a future-ready practice that accelerates EXL’s digital journey globally.

The leader will be accountable for designing, delivering, and governing enterprise applications (SaaS, ERP, CRM, BPM, custom applications) while embedding cutting-edge digital capabilities such as cloud-native solutions, API-led architecture, AI/ML, and automation frameworks.

The role combines deep technical expertise with large-scale delivery leadership, ensuring that EXL’s enterprise platforms are modern, integrated, and business-outcome driven

Key Responsibilities:

Enterprise Application Delivery & Modernization

• Establish and scale the Enterprise Application Delivery CoE with a vision anchored in future technology trends.
• Ability to engage and manage enterprise digitization requirements with Enterprise Functions of HR, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Legal & Compliance, and Operations
• Ability to lead and develop In-House teams with a combination of Core Systems Technologies and Bespoke Applications
• Build reference architectures, playbooks, and reusable frameworks for enterprise application delivery.
• Drive talent development through advanced training, certifications, and structured career paths.
• Competence in Core Systems and Technologies related to HRIS, ERP, CRM, CMS, and Enterprise Workflows
• Proficient in a combination of Cloud Technologies and Hybrid Applications Environments.
• Lead delivery of enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, HCM, BPM, SaaS, custom apps) with a focus on scalability, security, and performance.
• Drive cloud transformation, microservices adoption, and next-gen integration architectures.
• Ensure alignment of digital delivery with enterprise strategy, growth priorities, and ROI outcomes.
• Accelerate business process digitization using AI, automation, and data-driven intelligence.
• Champion user-centric adoption models with change management and next-gen training

Governance & Performance

• Implement a robust delivery governance framework, defining KPIs, SLAs, and risk controls
• Lead portfolio and program governance across multiple functions and geographies
• Ensure delivery excellence through agile, hybrid, and scaled frameworks
• Own executive-level reporting of delivery impact, risks, and transformation outcomes

Strategic Partnerships

• Engage and manage Technology & Systems Solutions & Services Providers
• Manage vendor ecosystems to optimize delivery quality, and cost efficiency
• Represent EXL externally as a thought leader in digital delivery and enterprise applications

Technical & Delivery Skills

• Proven hands-on experience in delivering large-scale enterprise applications (ERP, CRM, HCM, BPM, SaaS platforms).
• Strong grounding in enterprise/solution architecture, API-first integration, and cloud-native/hybrid models.
• Hands-on understanding of AI/ML, RPA, and intelligent automation as levers for enterprise transformation.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance frameworks, and data architecture.
• Ability to lead multi-phase rollouts, upgrades, integrations, and migrations in complex enterprise environments.
• Strong knowledge of agile, hybrid, and traditional program management methodologies.
• Solid background in solution architecture – designing scalable, secure, and integrated enterprise application landscapes.
• Experience with cloud-based architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid deployment models.
• Strong understanding of API-led integration, microservices, data flows, and middleware platforms.
• Ability to evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, SaaS products, and automation tools for business impact.

Education

Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent (required).

• Cloud & SaaS Platforms (SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, Workday, ServiceNow)
• BPM & Automation (Lean Six Sigma, BPM certifications)

Work Experience Requirements

• 18+ years of leadership experience in enterprise applications, technology delivery, or consulting.
• Proven success in setting up and scaling CoEs for enterprise application delivery.
• Deep experience in SaaS platforms, automation, cloud-native architecture, and integrations.
• Strong track record in global delivery governance, portfolio management, and risk control.
• Demonstrated ability to future-proof enterprise platforms with emerging technologies.
• Recognized for thought leadership and innovation in enterprise applications and digital delivery.
• Experience in BPM, consulting, or large-scale global operations highly desirable.
• Demonstrated leadership in talent development, COE building, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Demonstrated ability to scale programs, drive organization-wide change, and deliver tangible business outcomes.
