Job summary

EXL Analytics is seeking a senior analytics leader to own engagement delivery and insight development across global clients. You will structure complex problems, design robust analysis plans, and drive advanced analytics into executive-ready narratives for decision making.

The role requires 11+ years in analytics, strong SQL/SAS/Snowflake expertise, PowerBI reporting, and excellent communication skills for diverse stakeholders. On-site India-based leadership opportunity with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in computer science/engineering or analytics related fields.
• 11+ years’ experience in analytics or insight generation initiatives.
• Expertise in SQL and SAS/Snowflake or equivalent technologies.
• Experience building reports in PowerBI; PowerPoint is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and take on challenges.
• Ability to work with global clients across cultures.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Engagement Leadership with accountability for delivery and high-quality outputs.

• End-to-End Engagement Leadership - Lead insight generation engagements with full accountability for delivery, ensuring high-quality, business-relevant outputs aligned to client objectives.
• Problem Structuring & Analytical Design - Structure ambiguous business problems into clear analytical frameworks; translate client needs into testable hypotheses and define robust analysis plans based on data availability and timelines.
• Insight Generation & Storyboarding - Drive advanced analytics and synthesize outputs into compelling, actionable insights; build executive-ready storyboards and narratives to enable decision-making.
• Client Advisory & Strategic Collaboration - Engage with senior client stakeholders to contextualize insights, influence strategic decisions, and ensure recommendations are actionable and value-driven.
• Client Engagement & Governance - Facilitate working sessions, lead recurring status meetings, and manage stakeholder communication to ensure transparency, alignment, and delivery confidence.
• Relationship Management & Account Growth - Build trusted advisor relationships with clients; proactively identify expansion opportunities and contribute to account growth within existing engagements.
• Cross-Geo Delivery Leadership - Lead distributed teams across onshore-offshore model, ensuring seamless collaboration, effective communication, and timezone-aligned execution.
• Project & Team Management - Oversee day-to-day delivery operations, manage team performance, and act as the functional/domain SME to ensure deliverables meet client expectations.
• Quality Assurance & Governance - Provide rigorous quality oversight on all analytical outputs, reports, and presentations before client delivery.
• Customer & Market Insight Analysis - Analyze customer behavior, pain points, segmentation, growth levers, and value propositions to identify opportunities for business impact.
• Data Analysis & Technical Execution - Perform advanced data extraction and analysis using SQL/Snowflake/SAS; ensure data integrity and robustness in analytical outputs.
• Visualization & Reporting - Design and deliver intuitive dashboards and reports using Power BI (or similar tools), ensuring effective communication of insights to business users.
• Independent Insight Delivery - Independently own the creation of end-to-end analytical deliverables—from data analysis to final storytelling and executive presentation.
• Uncertainty & Risk Navigation - Effectively manage ambiguity and evolving client priorities, adapting analytical approaches to deliver consistent value.

Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s/Master's degree in computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply
• 11+ years’ relevant experience preferably in analytics or insight generation initiatives
• Expertise is SQL and SAS/Snowflake or other relevant client technologies
• Experience in building reports in PowerBI, PowerPoint is preferred
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges
• Is able to understand cross cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe
