Job summary

Outpost VFX Limited is seeking a VFX Editor responsible for the successful ingest and delivery of projects across high end film and episodic work. You will collaborate with the Editorial/Production team to ensure accurate turnover of shots and verify format, resolution, fps, re-times and color-space against offline references.

• Meticulous attention to detail with a strong eye for detail.
• Excellent communication skills & able to give concise, effective direction.
• Professional knowledge of Hiero, Premiere, Tweak RV, and Shotgun.

• Coordinate with Editorial/Production to ensure accurate turnover of shots.
• Verify format, resolution, fps, re-times and colour-space against offline references.
• Communicate with client-side editorial departments.
• Generate ingestion and cut reports to track ingested media and cut changes.
• Quality control client deliveries and communicate notes to Production and VFX Supervisor.
• Maintain open dialogue with the VFX Supervisor about creative issues or changes in the edit.
• Set up and run dailies and client review sessions.

Job description

As a VFX Editor you are responsible for the successful ingest and delivery of all projects assigned to you by the Editorial/Production Team across high end film and episodic projects.

• You will work with the Production team to ensure the accurate turnover of all shots from your show
• Verify format, resolution, fps, re-times, colour-space against provided offline reference
• Communicate with client-side editorial department
• Generate ingestion and cut reports to track all ingested media and cut changes
• Quality control client deliveries and communicate all notes or issues with Production and your VFX Supervisor
• Maintain an open dialogue with the VFX Supervisor and communicate with them about any creative issues or changes you see in the edit
• Setup & run dailies and client review sessions
