Outpost in Mumbai is seeking a Freelance Senior FX Artist to craft high-end VFX for film and episodic projects. You’ll work on fire, fluids, atmosphere, and explosions in hyper-real environments, and mentor junior artists.

Job Description

As a Freelance Senior FX Artist, you’ll be creating a lot of movie magic such as fire, fluids, atmosphere, and explosions in hyper-real environments for exciting projects! Creating tools and aiding more junior artists in their development is a huge bonus too!

Key skills

• Extensive experience using Houdini for creating high-end visual effects.
• Proven expertise in crafting realistic water simulations and fluid dynamics, especially with FLIP simulations
• Proficiency in producing a wide range of FX, including fire, smoke, explosions, and atmospheric effects
• Strong problem-solving abilities for optimizing and troubleshooting FX scenes; knowledge of VEX and Python is a plus
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with Supervisors and team members, ensuring efficient workflow and – timely project completion.
