Job summary

Kuhltherm is seeking a result-driven procurement professional in Gujarat to lead vendor sourcing, onboarding, and cost optimization for engineering parts across casting, forging, and sheet metal fabrication. You will evaluate suppliers, manage RFQs and POs, and align supplier capabilities with precise drawings and BOMs.

Ideal candidates will have experience in automotive or SP development contexts. You will collaborate with QA, Stores, and Production to ensure timely deliveries and compliance

Qualifications

• Experience in sourcing and onboarding vendors for casting, forging, and sheet metal fabrication.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Experience with RFQs, negotiation, and ERP-based PO management.
• Knowledge of supplier performance metrics (OTD, quality, rejects).

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and register new vendors across Gujarat and pan India.
• Handle purchase requisitions, RFQs, negotiate rates, and generate POs using ERP systems.
• Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules for target cost savings while maintaining quality.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and BOMs to align buyer requirements with supplier capabilities.
• Conduct periodic vendor audits and monitor OTDS, quality compliance, and reject rates.
• Collaborate with QA, Stores/Warehouse, and Production teams to resolve supplier delays or non-conformances.

Role & responsibilities

• Vendor Sourcing & Onboarding: Identify, evaluate, and register new local and regional engineering vendors for casting, forging, machining, sheet metal fabrication, and raw materials across industrial hubs in Gujarat and pan India.
• Procurement & PO Management: Handle purchase requisitions, issue RFQs (Request for Quotations), negotiate rates, and generate Purchase Orders (POs) using ERP systems.
• Cost Optimization & Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and delivery schedules to achieve target cost savings while maintaining high quality standards.
• Technical Evaluation: Read and interpret technical engineering drawings, specifications, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to align buyer requirements with supplier capabilities.
• Supplier Performance Monitoring: Conduct periodic vendor audits and track key metrics, including On-Time Delivery (OTD), quality compliance and reject rates.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with local Quality Assurance (QA), Stores/Warehouse, and Production teams to resolve supplier delays or material non-conformance.
