Job summary

Multispan India invites a Vendor Development Engineer – Procurement & Purchase to lead electronic component sourcing and supplier development. You will identify and qualify vendors for ICs, semiconductors, capacitors, connectors, sensors and other PCB parts, aligning with BOM and specs.

You will manage end-to-end procurement, negotiate terms, monitor supplier performance and drive cost reductions, while coordinating with R&D, Production, Quality and Stores to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Diploma in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or related field
• Diploma holders with relevant procurement/vendor development experience considered

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and develop new vendors for electronic, electrical and mechanical components.
• Handle end-to-end procurement of components such as ICs, semiconductors, resistors, capacitors, connectors and other electronic parts.
• Develop alternate sources for critical and high-value components.
• Negotiate price, MOQ, lead time, payment terms and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Obtain and compare quotations and prepare comparative statements.
• Coordinate with R&D, Production, Quality and Stores for component requirements and specifications.
• Monitor supplier performance, quality, delivery and responsiveness.
• Evaluate and onboard vendors based on quality, cost, capacity and reliability.
• Maintain approved vendor lists and vendor documentation.
• Track purchase orders and ensure timely material delivery.
• Resolve issues related to short supply, quality rejection, delayed delivery and component replacement.
• Monitor market trends, component availability and price fluctuations.
• Develop local and international sources for electronic components.
• Maintain proper procurement records, MIS and supplier performance reports.

• Experience in vendor development, sourcing and procurement.
• Good negotiation and supplier management skills.
• Ability to understand BOM, datasheets, part numbers and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of ERP/Purchase Management Software.
• Good communication and follow-up skills.
• Experience in an electronics manufacturing / industrial automation / electrical products company will be preferred.

Qualifications:
