Job summary

CIEL HR is seeking a results-driven procurement and supplier quality professional to lead new vendor development across castings, forgings, fabrication parts and machined components.

You will coordinate cross-functionally to qualify components, support production issues, develop suppliers to reduce cost and increase capacity, audit suppliers for process conformance, and drive APQP/PPAP, VA/VE and supplier cost improvements.

Responsibilities

• 1. Responsibilities will include New vendor development (castings, forgings, fabrication parts & machined components), Electrical & Electrical Components
• 2. Cross-functional coordination to qualify new components, supporting issues with current production, developing new suppliers to reduce cost, increase capacity and auditing suppliers to ensure process conformance.
• 3. Manage the customer specific requirements and offer technical support. Work on multiple phases or sub-tasks of projects, with results impacting on project completion.
• 4. Experience in Cost Estimation, Knowledge of Quality Management System
• 5. Responsible for leading the solution for supplier component concerns, driving Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), customer interaction, supplier interaction, Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) support, supplier component development and approval and supplier cost improvements
• 6. Assist with new product launch by working with suppliers to ensure that key milestones are achieved
• 7. Work with Engineering (Design and Manufacturing Engineers) team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements.
• 8. Keep up with current and developing manufacturing and engineering trends that concern product quality
• 9. Contribute to continuous improvement activities
