Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Vehicle Integration Engineer - ADAS to ensure seamless integration of ADAS functions into the vehicle platform. You will coordinate hardware, software and systems teams for sensor, ECU and control algorithm alignment, and perform vehicle-level testing, calibration and validation of ADAS features.

The role requires hands-on testing, calibration strategies for sensor fusion, and ensuring compliance with functional safety standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering or related field.
  • 8–15 years of experience in ADAS vehicle integration or embedded automotive systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ADAS sensors (camera, radar, ultrasonic) and ECU systems.
  • Experience with vehicle networks CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet.
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 and SOTIF standards; hands-on vehicle testing and calibration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead vehicle-level integration of ADAS systems (cameras, radar, ultrasonic sensors, ECUs, HMI).
  • Define interfaces between ADAS modules and vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
  • Collaborate with system architects, software and hardware teams to meet performance requirements.
  • Support vehicle testing, calibration and validation of ADAS features (AEB, ACC, LKA, Parking Assist, Traffic Jam Assist).
  • Diagnostics, fault analysis, and troubleshooting during integration and road testing.
  • Define calibration strategies for sensor fusion, perception and control systems.
  • Ensure ISO 26262 and SOTIF compliance at vehicle level.
  • Support prototype/pre-production vehicle integration incl. wiring harness validation.
  • Develop test plans, vehicle-level requirements and verification reports.
  • Coordinate with OEM/Tier-1 and internal teams for milestones and releases.

Role:

Vehicle Integration Engineer - ADAS

The Vehicle Integration Engineer – ADAS is responsible for ensuring seamless integration of ADAS functions into the vehicle platform. This role involves coordination between hardware, software, and systems teams to ensure sensors, ECUs, and control algorithms work correctly in real-world conditions. You will be responsible for vehicle-level testing, calibration, and validation of ADAS functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the vehicle-level integration of ADAS systems including cameras, radar, ultrasonic sensors, ECUs (steering, brakes etc.) and HMI components.
  • Define integration strategy and interfaces between ADAS modules, vehicle networks (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet), and powertrain/vehicle systems.
  • Collaborate with system architects, software, and hardware teams to ensure ADAS features meet functional and performance requirements.
  • Support vehicle-level testing, calibration, and validation of ADAS features such as AEB, ACC, LKA, Parking Assist, and Traffic Jam Assist.
  • Conduct diagnostics, fault analysis, and troubleshooting for system-level issues during integration and road testing.
  • Define and implement calibration strategies for sensor fusion, perception, and control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and SOTIF (ISO 21448) standards at the vehicle level.
  • Support prototype and pre-production vehicle integration, including wiring harness validation, sensor placement and ECU configuration.
  • Develop test plans, vehicle-level requirements, and verification reports.
  • Coordinate with OEM, Tier-1 suppliers, and internal teams for program milestones and release planning.

  • Experience with vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, FlexRay, Ethernet).
  • Familiarity with functional safety (ISO 26262) and SOTIF standards.
  • Hands-on experience in vehicle testing, calibration, and validation.
  • Knowledge of data logging, diagnostics, and fault analysis tools.
  • Strong understanding of vehicle electrical architecture and wiring harnesses.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink, Python, or C/C++ for algorithm testing and validation.
  • Experience with ADAS system calibration and sensor fusion tuning.
  • Exposure to Level 2+ ADAS or autonomous driving systems.
  • Experience in road testing and on-track validation of ADAS functions.
  • Familiarity with simulation environments (e.g. CarMaker) for system validation.
  • Understanding of HIL/SIL testing methods for ADAS integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills to work across multiple functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple vehicle programs and integration tasks simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on safety, reliability, and performance.
  • Passion for automotive technology and autonomous mobility solutions.
