Job summary

Suitable AI is seeking a Senior Vehicle Architecture Engineer to lead development of vehicle architectures for agricultural and off-highway machinery. You will drive DMU-based layout optimization, packaging studies, and BOM management to ensure manufacturability and serviceability across the lifecycle.

The role requires 7–10 years in vehicle architecture or packaging, experience with Teamcenter/TCaE, Creo, and PLM methods, and collaboration with global teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Digital Mock-Up (DMU) and Vehicle Architecture is essential.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems integration, packaging, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with global engineering teams and cross-functional product development environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of complete vehicle architectures by translating requirements into optimized layouts.
• Conduct DMU reviews to resolve packaging conflicts and serviceability concerns.
• Apply DFM, DFA, and DFS throughout the development process.
• Support Physical and Virtual Vehicle Builds with design readiness and issue resolution.
• Create and manage Vehicle BOMs and ensure alignment with POs in Teamcenter.
• Process Engineering Change Requests/Orders using Teamcenter Engineering (TCaE).
• Perform DMU Closure activities with design teams.
• Create and manage Variants using PRP and support configuration management.
• Use Creo, Vis Mockup and other CAD tools for layout, packaging studies, and motion envelope analysis.
• Perform 2D Stack-up Analysis to validate dimensions and tolerances.
• Apply PLM principles to maintain data integrity and process compliance.
• Participate in design reviews, gate reviews, and change review meetings.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Service, Quality, Supplier Quality, and Engineering teams to resolve build and field issues.
• Coordinate with global teams across time zones to ensure timely project execution.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Vehicle Architecture Engineer to lead the development of vehicle architectures for agricultural and off-highway machinery. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Digital Mock-Up (DMU), Vehicle Packaging, BOM Management, PLM processes, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure optimized vehicle design, manufacturability, serviceability, and quality throughout the product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of complete vehicle architectures by translating high-level product requirements into optimized vehicle layouts.
• Conduct Digital Mock-Up (DMU) reviews to identify and resolve packaging conflicts, interferences, assembly issues, and serviceability concerns.
• Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Serviceability (DFS) methodologies throughout the product development process.
• Support both Physical and Virtual Vehicle Builds by ensuring design readiness and issue resolution.
• Create and manage Vehicle BOM (Bill of Materials) and ensure BOM alignment in Purchase Orders (POs) with Teamcenter.
• Process and manage Engineering Change Requests (ECR) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO) using Teamcenter Engineering (TCaE).
• Perform DMU Closure activities in collaboration with design teams.
• Create and manage Variants using PRP (Product Rule Processor) and support configuration management.
• Utilize Creo, Vis Mockup, and other CAD tools for vehicle layout, packaging studies, detailed design, and motion envelope analysis.
• Perform 2D Stack-up Analysis to validate dimensional integrity, fit, finish, and tolerance accumulation.
• Understand and apply PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) principles to maintain data integrity and process compliance.
• Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, gate reviews, and engineering change review meetings.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Service, Quality, Supplier Quality, and Engineering teams to investigate and resolve Build and Field issues.
• Coordinate effectively with global cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to ensure timely project execution.

Preferred Experience

• 7–10 years of total experience in Vehicle Architecture or Vehicle Packaging.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in Automotive On-Highway or Off-Highway Vehicle development.
• Prior experience with Agricultural Equipment or Construction Machinery is an added advantage.
