Job summary

ALTEN India in Chennai (Chengalpattu) invites experienced engineers to join our Safety Systems domain. You will work on automotive safety projects, focusing on seat belts and airbags, with Catia V5/V6 and 3D design expertise. Knowledge of DFMEA, tolerance analysis and system simulation is highly valued.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience, BE or MSc in Mechanical, and a collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams. Full-time employment in a dynamic, global environment.

Qualifications

• Experience on Automotive Safety systems.
• Catia V5/V6 expertise is required; 3D experience is an added advantage.
• Passive safety components knowledge (Seat belts, Airbags, sensors).
• Seat belt design, development and validation per global standards.
• Experience in design reviews, DFMEA, DFM & DFA, GDT, tolerance stack up.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (PM, Purchase, Quality, Testing, Suppliers, production).
• Basic knowledge of system simulation (Pamcrash / Madymo).
• Knowledge of Renault procedures and process is an added advantage.
