Job Description

The ideal candidate should currently be working with a Tier 1 strategy consulting firm, and should have meaningful project experience in sectors such as:

• Manufacturing
• Industrials
• Auto / auto components
• EMS / electronics manufacturing
• Advanced manufacturing
• Engineering products
• Industrial equipment
• Chemicals / process manufacturing
• Energy transition / batteries / EV ecosystem

They should ideally be engineers by education and should have 1-2 years of pre-MBA shop floor / plant / manufacturing operations experience before moving into consulting.

The Successful Applicant

The candidate will work as part of the portfolio operations / value creation team and will help drive transformation across portfolio companies.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Partnering with portfolio company promoters, CEOs, COOs, CFOs, plant heads and functional leaders to identify value creation opportunities.
• Leading operational diagnostics across manufacturing plants, supply chains, procurement functions and commercial operations.
• Driving initiatives across manufacturing excellence, plant productivity, throughput improvement, quality improvement, yield improvement, cost reduction and working capital optimisation.
• Supporting transformation programs in sectors such as manufacturing, industrials, EMS, auto, batteries, engineering products and advanced manufacturing.
• Designing and executing value creation roadmaps with clear milestones, owners, timelines and measurable business impact.
• Working closely with investment teams to identify operational upside during diligence and post-investment planning.
• Building governance mechanisms, dashboards and review cadences to track transformation delivery.
• Engaging with CXOs and operating teams to ensure implementation, not just strategy design.
• Supporting initiatives across procurement, S&OP, supply chain, capacity utilisation, manpower productivity, vendor management and EBITDA improvement.
