Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in Bengaluru, India, is seeking a Valuation Controller - Associate to execute price verification and benchmark processes, including the calculation of fair value adjustments.

You will partner with various functional groups on valuation issues and develop measures to ensure fair value, while enhancing the control framework. This role supports management reporting, regulatory mandates, and broader VCG initiatives with a focus on accuracy and process improvement.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience.
• Ability to understand complex products, and analyze transaction and process flows.
• Strong verbal and written communications skills.
• Understanding of valuation concepts as they pertain to financial products and derivatives, basic accounting knowledge.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Execute price verification/benchmark process including the calculation of fair value adjustments
• Assist with various VCG established practices and control initiatives as well as perform necessary work relating to management reporting, regulatory mandates and consistency within the broader VCG framework

• Analytical and quantitative aptitude. Candidates with quantitative backgrounds preferred
• Work experience in financial industry a plus
• Experience with Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Visual Basic, automation and database skills a plus
