Texas Instruments RF Connectivity group is expanding its RF Transceiver Validation Group in Bangalore, India.
This group develops cutting edge RF Transceiver products (+MCU integrated) for Wireless‑LAN (Wi‑Fi) and Ultra‑Wideband Systems (UWB).
The position is on‑site in Bangalore.
Responsibilities
- Debug of the Transceiver SoC: Fast and systematic identification of issues in the blocks, root‑cause analysis, and solution driving.
- RF Measurements: Understand RF, IF, and DC measurements in receiver chain (noise figure, gain, linearity, P1dB, IIP2, IIP3, IQ gain & phase error, LO leakage, DC offsets) and TX chain (PLL, reference clock).
- PCB Board Development: Design schematic and layout, material selection, stack‑up, review design, and work with 3rd‑party PCB service companies; familiarity with Altium and Cadence Allegro flows.
- Test Automation and Interpretation of Measurements: Code and automate measurement flows, interface instruments, process data across PVT corners, visualize results, and distinguish IC versus setup issues; basic statistics knowledge.
- Interfaces: Design and program interfaces such as SPI, UART, and UCI.
- Mentor a team of young engineers through RF fundamentals and system‑level aspects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience with RF validation and debugging of RF IPs.
- Experience mentoring a team of young engineers in RF fundamentals and system‑level aspects.
- Strong understanding of RF systems and key instruments.
- Proficiency in at least two of the technical areas listed above.
- Strong team‑player working closely with the Product Development and Radio Design teams.
