Responsibilities

• Test planning and execution for Xilinx Versal ACAP products.
• Drive test planning, execution and reporting in defined product areas.
• Collaborate with cross-site stakeholders to deliver requirements and deliverables.
• Perform end-to-end system verification including hardware configuration and software execution on board.
• Conduct customer-focused testing of Versal ACAP solutions and map to test coverage.
• Interact with multiple teams to cover testing across bare-metal and OS-hosted environments.
• Develop verification methodologies to find defects efficiently and with clear reporting.

Position: Validation Engineer
Experience: 2-4 Years

Location: Hyderabad

Contract tenure: 1 year

Detailed Description:

• Will be responsible for testing and verifying Xilinx product offering for the next generation of SoC centric products
• Drive test planning, execution, reporting of the defined product areas
• Work closely with your team and cross site stakeholders to understand the requirements and deliverables
• Be part of a team focused on verification of Xilinx Versal ACAP.
• Test planning and execution for end-to-end system creation including h/w configuration to software execution on board
• Customer usage focused testing of Versal ACAP solution and mapping it to test coverage
• Interact with multiple teams across Xilinx to cover testing of Xilinxs Versal ACAP solution, including bare metal and OS hosted environments
• Strong expertise in debugging on H/W and simulation environments and root-cause analysis, reporting failures, problem recreation and verification of the fixes
• Develop verification methodologies for efficient testing, focused towards finding critical defects in a timely and cost-effective manner with proper escalations and reporting

• Experience in verification/validation of complex designs, preferably in FPGA domain, with knowledge on Xilinx Tools like Vivado IP Integrator etc.
• Understanding of SoC based s/w development and debug
• Good understanding of embedded systems including device drivers, developing and debugging bare-metal as well as Linux based applications
• Strong on board debugging skills, understanding of emulation and prototyping platforms
• Architecture: RISC architectures like ARM
• Programming languages: C, Assembly, embedded applications programming
• Software Tools: Basic user level understanding of compilers, assemblers, linkers, debuggers gdb, other debuggers (e.g. RVDS) using debug on board
• Scripting: Good knowledge in Python/PERL/TCL/C-Shell

Additional Requirements:

• Exposure to interfaces like PCIe/SATA/USB and other hardware subsystems is preferred
• Experience with Linux based embedded systems or any other RTOS is preferred.
• FPGA basics, FPGA tools flow, using Xilinx FPGAs is preferred.
• Ability to drive software/hardware verification projects at all stages from planning to implementation
• Understanding of SDK, other eclipse based tools is preferred
