Deutsche Bahn’s DB Engineering & Consulting seeks a BIM Engineer with 5+ years of railway BIM experience to join its global team. The role emphasizes BIM model assembly, BEP compliance, and cross-disciplinary coordination across international projects.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in railway infrastructure BIM, strong 3D modeling skills, and ability to extract quantities and create 2D drawings from 3D models, while adapting to new software and workflows.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree required.
• 5+ years overall experience with minimum 3 years in Railway Infrastructure BIM projects.
• Experience with 3D modeling of rail systems and related structures.
• Experience extracting quantities from 3D models and producing 2D drawings.

For this project we are seeking a BIM Engineer with 5+ years experience.

Responsibilities:

• Report to the BIM Coordinator
• Assemble and maintains any multidiscipline models.
• Consulted for input to the BEP
• Attend regular coordination meetings and ensure progress of the coordination process
• Generate 2D drawings and extract schedules and quantity take-offs from design models, ensure project’s CAD Manual is followed.
• Support Interface Coordinators and Design Coordinators
• Attend the Gate Reviews with the Design Leaders and the Client representatives
• Perform risk Identification and escalation within BIM perimeter
• Assist in the utilisation of the CDE within the organisation. Managing information con-tainers in accordance with agreed workflow.
• Ensure compliance with project BIM standards and BEP
• Responsible for the production/Submission, including 3D models, Quantity Extraction from Models, and 4D and 5D information models, in accordance with the BEP.
• Assist section leaders for the technical interface management.
• Work across multiple projects, as assigned by the Line Manager.
• Supports the Task Team by managing information models, ensuring coordination, and verifying compliance with information requirements (EIR, BEP, MIDP, TIDP).
• Ensure on-time Project delivery.

Qualifications:

• Graduate in Civil Engineering (preferred)
• Overall experience of 5+ years, with minimum 3 years mandatory in Railway Infrastructure BIM projects.
• Exposure may include 3D modeling of rail systems, rail and roadway bridges, station buildings, viaducts, and underpass structures.
• Experience in extracting quantities from 3D models, attributing model data, and producing 2D drawings from 3D models will be preferred.
• Open for new challenges and establishing structures. Willingness to learn and adopt new soft-ware and technologies.
• Self-organization, high level of motivation and ability to work under pressure
