Job summary

Optum India is seeking experienced UI/UX and full-stack developers to contribute to both front-end and back-end initiatives. The role focuses on translating user research into wireframes and prototypes, building scalable interfaces, and integrating with cloud services to deliver health-tech solutions.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years in UI/UX and full-stack development, with strong knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks, databases, and DevOps practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of UI/UX competency and proficiency with Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB).
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3/Sass, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript; frameworks like React.js, Next.js, or Vue.js.
• Familiarity with Git/GitHub, Docker, CI/CD, and cloud services (AWS/GCP).
• Back-end: Node.js and Express/NestJS.

Responsibilities

• Translate product requirements into wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes.
• Build responsive, accessible front-end interfaces and scalable design systems.
• Develop server-side logic and RESTful/GraphQL APIs; manage databases and cloud integrations.

Primary Responsibilities

• UI/UX & Front-End Design
  • Translate product requirements and user research into wireframes, low/high-fidelity mockups, and interactive prototypes
  • Build responsive, accessible, and high-performance user interfaces using modern front-end frameworks
  • Create, maintain, and scale reusable design systems, component libraries, and style guides
  • Optimize front-end assets for maximum speed, responsiveness, and cross-browser/cross-device compatibility
• Back-End & Full Stack Development
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side logic and RESTful/GraphQL APIs
  • Manage and optimize database structures for performance and data integrity
  • Integrate third-party services, APIs, and cloud infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Firebase)
  • Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code and participate in peer code reviews
  • Test, debug, and troubleshoot applications to fix bugs and enhance performance
• Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements

Required Qualifications

• Graduate degree or equivalent experience
• 6+ years of UI/UX Competency and Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch, combined with a solid grasp of user-centered design principles
• Databases: Hands-on experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
• Knowledge of Front-End Stack: Solid command of HTML5, CSS3/Sass, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript. Experience with modern frameworks like React.js, Next.js, or Vue.js
• DevOps & Tools: Familiarity with Git/GitHub, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud services (AWS/GCP)
• Back-End Stack: Proficiency in Node.js and server frameworks (Express.js, NestJS)
• Soft Skills: Proven excellent problem-solving abilities, communication skills, and openness to iterative feedback
