Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 20–25 years of total maintenance/utility experience.
• Mandatory 4–5 years of hands-on experience heading utility operations in solar cell manufacturing (TopCon, PERC or HJT).
• Strong knowledge of plant utilities and energy management practices.
• Experience in greenfield projects and utility commissioning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead operation and maintenance of all plant utilities including HT/LT electrical distribution, chillers, cooling towers and HVAC.
• Oversee DI water, RO plants, vacuum pumps, nitrogen and process gas systems, DG sets and UPS.
• Manage ETP/STP, fire protection systems and industrial safety practices.
• Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance to improve MTBF/MTTR.
• Drive TPM, RCA, CAPA and continuous improvement across utilities.
• Lead utility commissioning, plant expansion and reliability projects; manage budgets and vendor performance.

Our client is a growing solar cell manufacturing organisation with a state-of-the‑art manufacturing facility.

We are looking for an experienced Utility Head to lead plant utility operations, ensuring reliability, uninterrupted availability, energy efficiency, and statutory compliance at a solar cell manufacturing facility.

Role

Lead the operation and maintenance of plant utilities, including HT/LT electrical distribution, chillers, cooling towers, air compressors, HVAC, DI water and RO plants, vacuum pumps, nitrogen and process gas systems, DG sets, UPS, ETP/STP, and fire protection systems.

Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance to improve equipment reliability, MTBF, MTTR, and overall utility availability.

Lead utility commissioning, plant expansion, and reliability improvement projects, including greenfield projects.

Monitor energy consumption, implement cost‑saving initiatives, and drive TPM, root cause analysis (RCA), corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), and continuous improvement.

Ensure statutory compliance, safety standards, and ISO systems while managing maintenance teams, contractors, vendors, budgets, and spare parts inventory.

What We’re Looking For

B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, or Instrumentation Engineering.

20–25 years of total maintenance/utility experience, including mandatory 4–5 years of hands‑on experience heading utility operations in solar cell manufacturing (TOPCon, PERC, or HJT).

Strong knowledge of chillers, HVAC, cooling towers, DI water and RO systems, vacuum systems, air compressors, HT/LT electrical systems, PLC, SCADA, industrial automation, TPM, preventive maintenance, RCA, CAPA, and energy management.

Experience in greenfield projects and utility commissioning is preferred, along with strong leadership, problem‑solving, and team management skills.
