Job summary

Exide Industries in Navi Mumbai seeks an experienced maintenance professional to oversee ETP/STP, water and utility systems, and safety compliance. You will lead a utilities team, coordinate with contractors, and ensure uninterrupted operations while driving energy and cost savings.

The role requires hands-on knowledge of PLC/instrumentation, safety norms, and regulatory liaison with MPCB. SAP and MS Office proficiency are expected to manage PM schedules, KPI reporting and CAPEX project support.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• ETP & STP (pits, chambers, sludge handling, WWTP tank cleaning, Storm water & ETP/STP Drain lines), RO & DM plants, water distribution system, Cooling towers, Compressed Air Distribution System, fresh air blowers, acid dilution plant, MHEs including stackers, BOPT & Forklifts, pollution control equipment, PNG system, Oxygen & Acetylene gas bank & system, Fire pump house. Civil, Painting,floor repairing & Roof related work along with HDPE, PVC, MS & GI pipe line . Weighing bridge/scales & lifts maintenance & calibration related activity, AHU / Chillers / Air Conditioning System, Correction of Non conformities & Monitoring of Safety Stock.
• Basic understanding of PLC, control panels, instrumentation.Knowledge of energy conservation and electrical efficiency improvement initiatives.
• Ensure uninterrupted utility supply, preventive & breakdown maintenance, shutdown planning, utility efficiency optimization.Monitor utility consumption and identify opportunities for energy and cost savings.
• Safe handling of sulphuric acid and lead effluents, LOTOTO, confined space, hot work, PPE compliance, emergency systems, gas safety.Ensure timely compliance and closure of EHS audit observations
• MPCB CTE/CTO compliance, Water & Air Acts, Hazardous Wate Rules, ETP/STP performance, OCEMS (where applicable).
• Factories Act & Maharashtra Factory Rules, PESO for gases, Gas Cylinder Rules, Boiler & Pressure Vessel regulations, Lift, Weights & Measures audits and renewals.
• Lead utilities team, manage contractors, training, safety induction, skill development.
• SOPs, PM schedules, Utility KPIs, Audit reports, Statutory registers, Monthly MIS & Analysis, Keeping record of Waste Inventory Form-3, Form-13, Form-5. Basic knowledge of SAP.Timely bill verification and submission.Utility equipment AMC management.
• Energy & water conservation, capex projects, debottlenecking, CMMS & predictive maintenance.

Preferred candidate profile

• ETP/STP operations, compressors,dryers ,chillers & gas systems, MPCB norms, troubleshooting, regulatory liaison. Hands on knowledge of SAP, MS Office (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)
• Safety-oriented, proactive, audit-ready, strong leadership and communication skills, cost-conscious, accountable, and effective in coordination and problem-solving.
