Job summary

Continental Events in India seeks a diligent Utility Team Member to collect used dishes, load dishwashers, and maintain cleanliness in dining and kitchen areas. You’ll help ensure a smooth flow during peak hours, work in shifts, and may include evenings or weekends as required.

You’ll follow sanitation rules, manage supplies, report issues with machines, and contribute to a positive dining experience through reliable, hands-on support and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas.
• Load and unload dishwashing machines.
• Wash items by hand as needed (e.g., wooden boards, large pots, delicate china).
• Store clean pots, pans, dishes, glasses and equipment properly.
• Maintain stock of cleaning supplies and report low levels.
• Check machines for proper operation and report issues.
• Remove garbage regularly and sanitize kitchen areas.

Job description

A Utility Team Member responsibilities include collecting used dishes, plates and utensils, loading dish washing machines and stacking washed items appropriately. In addition, collecting garbage, sweeping, mopping and upkeep of the overall cleanliness of the facility inside and out. If you want to kick start your career in the restaurant industry and be part of the behind-the-scenes operations, we’d like to meet you. Note that this role requires working in shifts and, occasionally, during evenings or weekends. Ultimately, you’ll help provide an unforgettable dining experience for our customers.

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
• Load and unload dishwashing machines
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
• Store clean pots, pans, dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
• Ensure there are always enough clean pots, pans, dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and notify supervisor when necessary
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
• Remove garbage regularly
• Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor, walls, doors and handles
