Job summary

Jindal Steel Limited in Raigarh seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform routine and preventive upkeep of utilities equipment, including large centrifugal pumps, high pressure descaling systems, and air compressors.

You will read engineering blueprints, use measuring tools, welding and cutting equipment, and troubleshoot mill machinery to ensure safe and reliable operation across shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience in routine and preventive maintenance of utilities equipment.
• Troubleshooting of mill machinery and related systems.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and schematics.
• Familiarity with measuring tools, welding and cutting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance of utilities equipment.
• Maintain large centrifugal pumps, high-pressure descaling systems, and air compressors.
• Troubleshoot and fix issues in mill machinery to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret engineering blueprints and schematics for installations and repairs.
• Utilize hand tools and measurement instruments during maintenance tasks.
• Align and level equipment using appropriate instruments.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

1. Performing routine and preventive maintenance of equipments in utility area

2. Experience in maintenance of large centrifugal pump, high pressure descaling system and Air compressors.

3. Troubleshooting: Identifying and fixing problems with mill machinary.

4. Alignment and leveling of equipments through intruments.

5. Work with a range of hand tools including measuring tools, welding and cutting equipment.

6. The ability to read and understand engineering blueprints and schematics.

Required Competencies

1. Temp. Above 30C

2. Normal 8 Hrs. working in a shift.

3. Proximity to Heat, Noise & Temperature.
