Job summary

Porter in Bengaluru is seeking a User Researcher II to drive end-to-end research within an assigned charter, selecting methodologies, synthesising qualitative and quantitative inputs, and building cross-team partnerships to ensure research informs product decisions.

This role operates with growing independence, with manager support available; you will engage with PMs to scope and prioritise research and contribute to shaping the product roadmap.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of hands-on research experience with end-to-end projects.

• Strong qualitative depth: plan, recruit, facilitate, and synthesize with insights driving action.
• Integrates qualitative and quantitative data (analytics, surveys, behavioral data) into synthesis with managerial guidance.
• Proactively engages with PMs to scope and prioritise research.

Must-have

• Selects and executes appropriate methodologies for complex problems - not just evaluative research.
• Strong qual depth: independently plans, recruits, facilitates, and synthesises. Insights tied to product and design action.
• Integrates qual and quant data (analytics, surveys, behavioural data) into synthesis with manager's help.
• Proactively engages with PMs to scope and prioritise research; doesn't wait to be directed.

Good to have

• Consumer or marketplace product company background.
• Early exposure to proactively shaping a research roadmap for a charter.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Design, Psychology, Social Sciences, or related fields. Work quality takes precedence.
