Eide Bailly LLP in Mumbai invites a US Tax Manager with 7+ years of US tax return experience to join our Shared Services team. You will review, prepare, and oversee returns for partnerships, corporations, individuals, and other entities, while guiding staff and coordinating with US clients.

You will mentor junior staff, liaise with clients, and ensure accuracy and compliance with evolving US tax regulations. This role offers a hybrid in-office/work arrangement in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in preparing and/or reviewing US tax returns with a Shared Services or Consulting CPA Firm in India.
• 1+ years of experience as a Manager of staff preparing and reviewing US Tax.
• Professional certification CPA, CA or EA; degree in Accounting/Finance.

Responsabilités

• Review tax returns for Partnerships, Corporations, Individuals, and others including Estates, Trusts, Non-profits, W-2s, 1099s.
• Communicate with clients and US team to obtain information for returns or projects.
• Gather tax-related information ensuring completeness and accuracy of returns.
• Review tax accruals and attend meetings with auditors as needed.
• Manage client relationships and add value to professional services.
• Mentor and train tax staff within the team.
• Perform tax research and other projects as they occur.
• Lead a team of high-performing individuals.
• Develop business and practice lines leveraging experience.
• Stay updated on US tax regulations and policies.

US Tax Manager

Location: Mumbai, India

A Day in the Life

• Reviewing tax returns for Partnerships, Corporations, Individuals and other areas including but not limited to Estate and Gift, Trusts and Non-profits, W-2s, 1099s. Preparing Complex tax returns in above areas.
• Communicating with clients and Project CREs to obtain information for tax returns or other projects.
• Gathering relevant tax-related information from the US team and/or client ensuring completeness and accuracy of the returns.
• Review tax accruals and attend meetings with auditors regarding tax issues as needed.
• Managing client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service.
• Communicating with clients, the IRS and other business professionals as needed.Evaluating the costs, benefits, and risks of alternative solutions to client problems or needs.
• Performing tax research and other special projects as they occur.
• Capitalizing on personal and professional experiences to develop business and practice lines.
• Supervising and delegating duties to the tax staff in the team.
• Attending professional development and training seminars on a regular basis.
• Providing mentorship and technical training for employees in the tax department.
• Performing other accounting and tax related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Who You Are

• You have 7+ years of overall experience in preparing and/or reviewing US tax returns with a Shared Services or Consulting CPA Firm in India. .
• You have 1+ years of experience as a Manager of staff preparing and reviewing US Tax.
• You have a Professional certification of CPA, CA or EA and are a graduate within the disciplines of Accounting and Finance. Post-graduation in the said disciplines is an added benefit.
• You have demonstrated an interest in a career in US taxation and are looking to advance in this field.
• You enjoy keeping up to date on the ever-changing tax industry's regulations and policies.
• You have a knack for solving problems, using your analytical skill,s and easily notice issues while bringing solutions to the table.
• You take pride in helping others, and you are ready to take on the challenge of leading a team of high-performing individuals.
• You have knowledge of and exposure to various industries in US tax returns. Knowledge of CCH Access Tax and CCH Engagement software is a plus!
