Eide Bailly is seeking a US Tax Senior Associate for its Mumbai, India operation (Bengaluru listing). The role involves in-office/hybrid work arrangements and collaboration with US and India teams to prepare and review complex US tax returns for diverse entities.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of US tax experience in a Shared Services or consulting environment in India, with CPA/CA/EA credentials considered a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in preparing and/or reviewing US tax returns with a Shared Services or Consulting CPA Firm in India.
• Graduate in Accounting and Finance; Post-graduation or professional certifications like CPA/CA/EA are a plus and aid career growth.
• Demonstrated interest in US taxation and desire to advance in this field.
• Keeps up-to-date on evolving tax regulations and policies.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-level US tax returns for Partnerships, Corporations, Individuals and other areas including Estate/Gift, Trusts, and Non-profits, W-2s and 1099s.
• Review basic returns and perform quality checks on above returns.
• Collaborate with US and India teams to ensure tax process components are performed.
• Gather relevant tax information from manager or client ensuring completeness and accuracy of returns.
• Perform tax research as issues arise and communicate with clients, IRS, and other professionals.

A Day in the Life

A Typical Day As a US Tax Senior Associate In Mumbai, India Might Include The Following, But Is Not Limited To

• Preparing high-level tax returns for Partnerships, Corporations, Individuals and other areas including but not limited to Estate and Gift, Trusts and Non-profits, W-2s, 1099s.
• Reviewing basic returns and/or performing quality checks on above mentioned returns.
• Collaborating with our teams in US and India to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed.
• Gathering relevant tax-related information from the manager and/or client ensuring completeness and accuracy of the returns.
• Performing research activities as tax issues arise.
• Communicating with clients, the IRS and other business professionals as needed.
• Coordinating various activities to meet client needs within a specified time frame.
• Training and mentoring the tax staff in the team as needed.
• Understanding and applying work procedures and effectively plan as necessary.
• Maintaining awareness of general business trends and issues and applies that knowledge to client issues and solutions.
• Look at tax situations from various perspectives to ensure proper planning.
• Review asset depreciation schedules timely and effectively.
• Attend professional development and training seminars on a regular basis.
• Performs other accounting and tax related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Who You Are

• You have 5+ years of experience in preparing and/or reviewing US tax returns with a Shared Services or Consulting CPA Firm in India.
• You are a graduate within the disciplines of Accounting and Finance. Post-graduation in the said disciplines or professional certifications like CPA, CA & EA are an added benefit and will be a catalyst for career growth at the organization.
• You have demonstrated an interest in a career US taxation and are looking to advance in this field.
• You enjoy keeping up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industry's regulations and policies.
• You have a knack for solving problems using your analytical skills and easily notice issues while bringing solutions to the table.
• You take pride in helping others, and you are ready to take on the challenge of leading a team of high-performing individuals.
• You have knowledge of and exposure to various industries in preparing US tax returns. Knowledge of CCH Access Tax and ProSystem Engagement software is a plus!
