Job summary

Eide Bailly in Bengaluru, India, seeks a US Tax Associate to join our hybrid team. You will assist in preparing US tax returns for partnerships, corporations, individuals, and other entities, collaborating with teams in the US and India.

The role requires 2+ years of US tax experience, a background in accounting and finance, and a willingness to grow in US taxation. CPA/CA/EA credentials are a plus, and you will engage in ongoing training and professional development.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in preparing US tax returns.
• Graduate in Accounting and Finance; CPA/CA/EA is a plus.
• Willing to build a career in US taxation.
• Knowledge of US tax regulations and ability to stay updated.
• Team player and self-starter with leadership potential.
• Knowledge of CCH Access Tax and ProSystem Engagement is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Preparing US tax returns for Partnerships, Corporations, Individuals, and related areas (Estate and Gift, Trusts, Non-profits, W-2s, 1099s).
• Collaborating with US and India teams to ensure tax processes are performed.
• Gathering relevant tax information from Manager/client ensuring completeness and accuracy; perform research as needed.
• Learning to view tax situations from multiple perspectives for effective planning.
• Updating asset depreciation schedules timely and accurately.
• Assisting others with software troubleshooting and depreciation tools.
• Participating in professional development and training seminars.
• Carrying out other accounting and tax duties as assigned by supervision.

A Day in the Life

• Preparing tax returns for Partnerships, Corporations, Individuals, and other areas including but not limited to Estate and Gift, Trusts and Non-profits, W-2s, 1099s.


• Collaborating with our teams in US and India to ensure the various components of the tax process are performed.


• Gathering relevant tax-related information from the Manager and/or client ensuring completeness and accuracy of the returns. Performing research activities as tax issues arise.


• Learning how to look at tax situations from various perspectives to ensure effective tax planning.


• Updating asset depreciation schedules timely and effectively.


• May be asked to assist others with general software troubleshooting issues and depreciation software.


• Attending professional development and training seminars on a regular basis.


• Performing other accounting and tax related duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Who You Are

• You have 2+ years of experience in preparing US tax returns, preferably with a Shared Services or Consulting CPA Firm in India.


• You are a graduate within the disciplines of Accounting and Finance. Post-graduation in the said disciplines or professional certifications like CPA, CA& EA are an added benefit and will be a catalyst for career growth at the organization.


• You are willing to build a career in US taxation.


• You enjoy keeping up-to-date on the ever-changing tax industry's regulations and policies.


• You are a team player as well as a self-starter, working towards leading a team.


• You have knowledge of and exposure to various industries in preparing US tax returns. Knowledge of CCH Access Tax and ProSystem Engagement software is a plus!
