Job summary

Piazza Consulting Group is hiring for a Mortgage Underwriting Support role focused on US Residential Mortgage. You will bring hands-on underwriting support, from pre-underwriting to third-party orders, and help shape the loan file through the origination process.

Ideal candidates demonstrate strong income calculations knowledge (W2, variable income, self-employed, rental) and a solid grasp of the 4 Cs of Underwriting (Credit, Capacity, Capital, Collateral).

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in Pre-Underwriting, LO Assistant, File Setup and Third-Party Orders.
• Strong understanding of the Loan Origination Process.
• Expertise in Income Calculations (W2, Variable Income, Self-Employed, Rental).
• Knowledge of the 4 C’s of Underwriting: Credit, Capacity, Capital, and Collateral.

Responsibilities

• Assist in underwriting steps and file setup to support loan approvals.
• Coordinate third-party orders (WVOE, HOI, Payoff, VVOE) to keep files moving.
• Collaborate with underwriters to ensure accurate income calculations and compliance.
• Maintain organized loan files and communicate findings effectively.
