Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication; excellent attention to detail.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and HR/ATS/BGC platforms.
• Ability to work in US shifts/night shifts when supporting US operations.

Job description

Responsible for managing and coordinating the end‑to‑end background verification process for US employees and candidates. The role involves working closely with candidates, HR/Recruitment teams, background screening vendors, and previous employers to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant completion of background checks.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end US background verification (BGC/BGV) processes for candidates and employees.
• Initiate and monitor background checks through third-party screening vendors.
• Coordinate with candidates to collect required information and supporting documents.
• Perform and/or coordinate employment verification, education verification, professional reference checks, address verification, identity verification, and criminal/public-record checks, as applicable to the client/program.
• Contact previous employers, HR departments, educational institutions, and other authorized sources to validate candidate information.
• Verify employment details such as employer name, job title/designation, employment dates, and other information required by the screening program.
• Review background‑check reports and identify discrepancies, missing information, exceptions, or potential red flags.
• Follow up with candidates and verification sources to resolve discrepancies and incomplete cases.
• Coordinate with US HR, Talent Acquisition, recruiters, hiring managers, and screening vendors regarding case status.
• Maintain accurate case records, trackers, documentation, and updates in ATS/HRIS/BGC systems.
• Monitor TAT, SLA, productivity, and quality metrics and ensure cases are completed within required timelines.
• Escalate adverse or complex findings according to company policies and established compliance procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality and securely handle sensitive candidate and employee information.
• Ensure BGC activities follow applicable company policies and relevant US background‑screening requirements.
• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly BGC status reports and provide updates to stakeholders.
• Support audits, process reviews, quality checks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to increase accuracy, turnaround time, and candidate experience.

Required Skills
