We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated US Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our Finance & Accounting team. The ideal candidate will have approximately 3-7 years of relevant accounting experience, with strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and US accounting practices.
This position will work closely with our US-based management and accounting teams and will play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely reporting, and strengthening accounting processes and controls.
Role & responsibilities
- Manage and review day-to-day accounting activities in accordance with US GAAP.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Manage General Ledger (GL) accounting and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Perform and review bank, balance sheet, credit card, and other account reconciliations.
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow reporting, and financial analysis.
- Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits and tax filings.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and other financial service providers when required.
- Ensure accounting processes comply with applicable US accounting standards and internal policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, accuracy, and efficiency.
- Prepare management reports and provide financial insights to leadership.
- Work closely with US-based stakeholders and respond to accounting and financial reporting requirements in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure financial records are audit-ready.
Preferred candidate profile
- US CPA qualification is mandatory.
- Approximately 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably supporting US companies or US-based clients.
- Strong practical knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.
- Strong experience with General Ledger accounting, reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end/year-end closing.
- Good understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
- Experience preparing and analyzing financial statements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar ERP/accounting systems is preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with US-based management, clients, auditors, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to independently manage deadlines and multiple accounting priorities.
