Job summary

MetLife in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh, India, is seeking a meticulous finance professional to support month-end close, reporting, and reinsurance analysis. The role involves coordinating entries, wire transfers, and balance sheet certifications to ensure governance and accuracy across reinsurance processes.

Candidate will prepare MIS, respond to reinsurance inquiries, and assist with settlements and audit readiness, including CMMI documentation and internal reporting.

Responsibilities

• Month end close call to ensure all month end entries for the reinsurance group are posted.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting, booking accounting entries, setting up wire transfers in Kyriba, and balance sheet certifications.
• Cater to STAT and GAAP reporting requirements for reinsurance analysis.
• Document administration and financial reporting workflows; recommend improvements.
• Prepare internal MIS and analytics related to reinsurance inquiries, highlighting resource utilization and turnaround time.
• Prepare periodic reinsurance settlements by compiling data from ledgers, reinsurance data mart, valuations and internal sources.
• Support audit readiness with CMMI documentation and other internal reporting.

Job description

• Month end close call to ensure all month end entries for reinsurance group has been posted.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting, such as booking accounting entries, setting up wire transfers in Kyriba and balance sheet certifications. Ensure overall governance and highlight/escalate potential issue
• Cater to STAT and GAAP requirement for reporting and analysis for reinsurance
• Document administration and financial reporting workflows and recommend improvements to these processes where appropriate
• Prepare internal MIS and analytics relating to reinsurance Inquiries highlighting resource utilization and turnaround time and provide tracking of audits (Reinsurance, D&T, SOX, and State exams).
• Perform research relating to queries raised by reinsurers, auditors, etc. and assist with preparing timely responses
• Prepare monthly reports summarizing experience under all reinsurance treaties for the current month/ YTD
• Prepare CMMI documentation for audit and knowledge about PPM and other internal reporting is required.
• Preparation of Management reports for internal review by Higher management.
• Prepare periodic reinsurance settlements by compiling data from the ledger, direct administration systems, the reinsurance data mart, valuations and various other internal sources
