Job summary

Cyient seeks an experienced design engineer with a BE in heavy equipment to design structures, sheet metals, and castings across subsystems.

Develop concepts and detailed designs, ensuring manufacturability, GD&T accuracy, and cost efficiency. Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams are essential for on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum BE in the field of Heavy Equipment Design.
• UG NX experience for at least 5 years.
• Knowledge of DFM/DFA, GD&T, and tolerance stack.

Responsibilities

• Works on design of structures, sheet metals, castings on subsystems of the machine.
• Develop concepts and detailed designs.
• Ensure designs are cost-efficient, manufacturable and reliable.
• Coordinate with engineering personnel to complete projects on time.

Role & responsibilities

Minimum 4 years with BE in the field of Heavy Equipment Design

o CAD Tool: Should have hands on experience in Unigraphics NX for at least 5 years.

Position Specific Duties - Works on design of Structures, Sheet Metals, Castings on various subsystems of the machine.

• Develop concepts and work on detailed designs.
  • Sound knowledge of DFM/DFA, expert in GD&T & Tolerance Stack.
  • Expert in engineering calculations.

Roles & ResponsibilitiesUnder direct supervision, assists with designing new products and processes and improving and maintaining existing products. May conduct design analysis on components and/or assemblies to assist in the development process by ensuring designs are cost efficient, manufacturable, and reliable. Communicates with the other engineering personnel to coordinate the interrelated design and assure project completion. Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 3-5 Years experience.
