Job summary

RGBSI seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer in Mumbai to create and modify engineering drawings using NX, and support design modifications for mechanical and electromechanical systems. You will analyze problem reports and drive simple, effective solutions through change management practices.

The ideal candidate holds a BE in Mechanical Engineering with 3–10 years of relevant experience, and has strong skills in GD&T, ANSI/ASME standards, and effective communication for team collaboration.

Qualifications

• BE Mechanical engineering with 3–10 years of relevant experience in design support activities.
• Proficient in 3D modeling, assembly and detailing using NX and PLM/PDM.
• Ability to read and create mechanical drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Create or modify engineering drawings/CAD of moderate scope without supervision.
• Analyze problem reports and implement simple, effective solutions through change management practices.
• Execute design modification of mechanical and electromechanical systems applying principles of mechanics.
• Selection of OEM components meeting functional requirements and industry standards.

Eligibility Criteria

B.E Mechanical engineering with 3 to 10 years of relevant Experience in Design support activities

Primary Responsibilities

• Create or modify engineering drawings/CAD of moderate scope without supervision
• Analyze Problem Reports and implement simple & effective solution through change management practices
• Execute design modification of mechanical and electromechanical systems applying principles of mechanics
• Selection of OEM components meeting functional requirements & industry standards.
• Provide necessary interface with suppliers for data

Mandatory Skills

• Proficient in 3D Modeling, Assembly and Detailing using NX & any one PLM/PDM
• Proficient in reading and creating Mechanical Drawings, Computer-generated reports & Specifications
• Proficiency in ANSI/ASME Documentation Standards
• Engineering Change Management Process knowledge
• Good in Communication and Presentation skill
• Analytical & Problem Solving abilities

Desirable Skills

• Experience in various fabrication methods (Sheet metal & Machining)
• Knowledge on welding symbols, GD&T symbols, Surface finish, etc., will be added advantage
• Has good communication skills (written & verbal)
• Knowledge on MS office softwares like MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint
• Experience with Team Center and PLM (SAP or iPLM-innovia etc.,)
