Job summary

RGBSI is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to create or modify NX-based drawings and assemblies with minimal supervision, solving problems via change management. You will read, interpret, and generate mechanical drawings and specifications to meet project goals.

Responsibilities include execution of design modifications for mechanical and electromechanical systems, selection of OEM components meeting standards, and liaising with suppliers for data while ensuring ANSI/ASME compliance and clear

Qualifications

• B.E Mechanical engineering with 3 to 10 years of relevant Experience in Design support activities.
• Proficient in reading and creating mechanical drawings, and in ANSI/ASME documentation standards.
• Experience with NX modeling and PLM/PDM systems.

Eligibility Criteria

B.E Mechanical engineering with 3 to 10 years of relevant Experience in Design support activities

• Create or modify engineering drawings/CAD of moderate scope without supervision

• Execute design modification of mechanical and electromechanical systems applying principles of mechanics
• Selection of OEM components meeting functional requirements & industry standards.
• Provide necessary interface with suppliers for data

Mandatory Skills

• Proficient in 3D Modeling, Assembly and Detailing using NX & any one PLM/PDM
• Proficient in reading and creating Mechanical Drawings, Computer-generated reports & Specifications
• Proficiency in ANSI/ASME Documentation Standards
• Engineering Change Management Process knowledge
• Good in Communication and Presentation skill
• Analytical & Problem Solving abilities

Desirable Skills

• Experience in various fabrication methods (Sheet metal & Machining)
• Knowledge on welding symbols, GD&T symbols, Surface finish, etc., will be added advantage
• Has good communication skills (written & verbal)
• Knowledge on MS office softwares like MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint
• Experience with Team Center and PLM (SAP or iPLM-innovia etc.,)
