Job summary

RGBSI seeks an highly experienced mechanical design engineer to drive development and optimization of complex components. You will apply Creo and Siemens NX to create drawings and 3D models, and work across manufacturing processes to ensure robust designs.

You will perform design reviews, tolerance analysis, ECN/ECR changes, and collaborate with cross-functional teams including quality. Proficiency in GD&T and ASME Y14.5 is essential, along with strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Required Skills

• 58 years of experience in mechanical design and design support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Creo and Siemens NX.
• Good understanding of mechanical design principles and product development processes.
• Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal, welding, casting, and assembly.
• Proficient in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) with practical application experience.
• Good knowledge of ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Familiarity with AWS welding standards and interpretation of welding symbols.
• Ability to prepare and review engineering drawings, 3D models, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience in design reviews, tolerance stack-up, and resolving manufacturing/design issues.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Preferred
• Experience working with cross-functional manufacturing and quality teams.
• Exposure to PLM/PDM systems.
• Experience in engineering change management (ECN/ECR).
