Job summary

Indifi Technologies is seeking an experienced credit underwriting professional to structure proposals for Purchase/Supplier Invoice Discounting, Vendor Finance and Dealer/Distributor Finance in India.

You will evaluate anchor programs, assess borrower creditworthiness through financials and MIS, and ensure compliance with RBI guidelines and NBFC policies while collaborating with Sales, Ops and Legal.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite and structure credit proposals for Purchase/Supplier Invoice Discounting, Vendor Finance and Dealer/Distributor Finance.
• Evaluate anchor programs and suggest structure for dealer eligibility and tranche period benchmarking to ensure maximum onboarding with minimum risk.
• Assess borrower credit worthiness through analysis of industry segment, business model, financial statements, monthly MIS, etc.
• Analyze cash flow statements and projections, EBITDA sensitivity.
• Discuss with customers to structure transactions with covenants and credit enhancements.
• Engage with Founders/Promoters & CFO to understand business plans and fundraising.
• Benchmark borrowers against peers and industry norms.
• Conduct secondary research on management and borrower background.
• Review covenants and portfolio performance and coordinate corrective actions with customers.
• Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Legal, Technology and Customer Service teams.
• Ensure adherence to internal credit policy, RBI guidelines and NBFC-specific guidelines.

Role & responsibilities

1. Underwrite and structure credit proposals for Purchase/ Supplier Invoice Discounting, Vendor Finance and Dealer/ Distributor Finance.
2. Evaluate anchor programs and suggest structure for dealer eligibility and tranche period benchmarking to ensure maximum onboarding with minimum risk.
3. Assessment of individual borrowers credit worthiness through a thorough analysis of industry segment, business model, financial statements, monthly MIS, etc.
4. Analysis of cash flow statement, cash flow projections, EBIDTA sensitivity analysis.
5. Discuss with customers to structure transactions by way of credit enhancements, stipulate financial and other covenants.
6. Personal discussions with Founders/ Promoters & CFO to understand the current business model, fund raising plans, growth plans, etc.
7. Benchmark borrowers financial performance across competitors and industry benchmarks.
8. Secondary research to gather additional information about the background of management and the borrower.
9. Regular review of the covenants and portfolio performance and suggest corrective action, including working with the customer to resolve any delinquency.
10. Coordinating with Sales, Operation, Legal, Technology and Customer Service team effectively.
11. Ensuring adherence to the internal credit policy, RBI guidelines and guidelines specific to NBFC.

Preferred candidate profile

1. CA/MBA
2. Prior experience of Supply Chain Financing is mandatory
3. Comfortable in working in a fast evolving and agile environment.
