Job summary

The Corporate Institute in Mumbai seeks a Senior Credit Analyst to join our credit risk team. You will conduct in-depth financial analysis of NBFCs, underwrite proposals, and prepare credit appraisal notes in line with risk appetite.

You'll assess business models, governance, and risk frameworks, identify key risks, and present proposals to credit committees while coordinating with relationship managers, legal, compliance, and risk teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis of NBFCs, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flows, and key ratios.
• Evaluate credit proposals and prepare detailed credit appraisal notes.
• Perform industry and peer analysis to assess sectoral risks and opportunities.
• Underwrite loan proposals in line with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines.
• Assess business models, management quality, governance practices, and risk frameworks of NBFCs.
• Identify key risks and recommend appropriate risk mitigation strategies.
• Present credit proposals to internal credit committees for approval.
• Monitor existing exposures and track performance of NBFC clients.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk frameworks.
