Job summary

WPP Enterprise Solutions seeks a Field Engineer (US shift) to leverage Adobe Experience Manager and related Adobe products to help clients realize value. You will gather client objectives, advise on architecture, and collaborate across teams to deliver technical and strategic services.

The role requires deep AEM knowledge, strong client-facing skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Understand business requirements and translate them into architecture, design, and development

The opportunity

This AEM Field Engineer position is a client-facing role focused on helping clients to realize and quantify value driven by our Adobe solutions. This position will require foundational technical knowledge across Adobe products and in-depth strategic and analytical skills. This consultant will work to gather and understand their client’s unique business objectives and provide advice on how best to meet their needs using one or more Adobe solution . In addition, Field Engineers will collaborate cross-team to deliver on recommendations, including both technical and strategic services to help drive business impact and support business needs.

• Work to educate clients on the standard methodologies in relation to their specific industry and key business requirements.
• Gain an in-depth knowledge of a client’s technical environment, businessobjectives,goalsand challengestoprovidethe best advice needed to drive customer success and value with Adobe solutions.
• Effectively analyze complex project issues,identifythe possible solution options, andfacilitatethe presentation and review of the options and our recommended solution with clients and partners.
• Efficientlymulti-task, working across multiple client engagements at the same timeas well askey internal initiatives.
• Activelymaintainthe highest level of technicalexpertiseby knowing the latest Adobe technologies through internally and externally available learning opportunities and self-study.
• Interactfrequentlywith clients via Microsoft Teams and email—including interaction with marketers, analysts, web developers, and C-level executives
• Keepaccuratedaily records of project hours for weekly timesheet submission and up-to-date estimates of workload.
• Use Microsoft Office products to build client documentation and presentations

What you need to succeed

• The capacity to understand business requirements and translate them into architecture, design,and development activities for our most complex Web based solutions.
• Experience articulating technical solutions and how they can solve client business problemsforboth technical and non-technical audiences.
• The ability to adapt to and work effectively with a variety of clients and partners in challenging situations, employing strong facilitation skills whileestablishingcredibility and trust quickly.
• A deep technical knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Sites and Assetson differenthosting optionslike on-premises, Managed Services and Cloud Services.
• Experiencein one or moreof thefollowing:AEM Guides, SPA Frameworks/SPA Editor, AEM Forms,Edge Delivery Servicesis a plus
• Must have experience in implementingAEM integration withone or more followingAdobe products– Adobe Launch,AA, AT, AAM, Campaign, Marketo, Commerce,Workfront,Personalization usingContextHub, Creative Cloud products etc.
• Demonstratedproficiencyin integration technologies and techniques.
• Candidates with Adobe Experience Platformor Enterprise Architecture experience will get considerable preference.
• Familiarity with Adobe Marketing Cloud, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, and other Adobe products is a plus.
• Proficiency in the Sling or OSGi frameworks, JCR API, RESTful principles or ExtJS framework, Dispatcher or CDNs a plus.
• Proficiency of Object-Oriented Programming Methodology & Practice, ideally with designing and programming of applications using Object Oriented Programming Methodology applying Java language constructs.
• Optimizing web solutions and architecting to accommodate performance requirements.
• Debugging and appropriate debugging tools usage skills in general TCP/IP networking, UNIX Operating system, HTTP protocol and request processing, SMTP, etc.
• Mastery in at least one of the current SQL dialects.
• Knowledge of XML and related technologies, e.g. definition and interpretation of DTDs, supporting architectures etc., preferably also including XSLT, extended DTD know how, XML dialects such as SOAP, WML, ICE, etc.
• Administration and debugging of Web servers, e.g. Apache.
• BS Degree in computer science or 5+ years of experience in the Web and/or ECMS technologies.
• 5+ years of direct client consulting experience.
• Must be a self-starter and comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovative environment withhigh levelsof collaboration and teamwork
• Possess an innovative, problem-solving approachutilizingAdobe solutions
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
