Job summary

DMAIC Academy & Consultancy is seeking a Senior UI Automation Test Engineer to own and advance our end-to-end testing framework built with Playwright. You will design scalable UI automation, create comprehensive E2E test suites, and integrate tests into CI/CD workflows to accelerate delivery.

You will lead API testing using Postman and REST Assured, refine test architecture, and drive improvements across UI, API, and environment layers while collaborating closely with developers and product

Qualifications

• 5-9 years of overall QA/Test Engineering experience.
• Hands-on with Playwright.
• Experience building and maintaining E2E automation frameworks from scratch.
• Experience with GitHub Actions or CI/CD tools.
• Strong API testing experience - REST / Postman / REST Assured.
• Knowledge of Git, pull requests, and code reviews.
• Excellent debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Strong communication and collaboration with engineering and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks using Playwright
• Build comprehensive E2E automated test suites covering critical user journeys and business workflows
• Integrate automated test execution into GitHub Actions / CI/CD pipelines
• Develop and maintain API automation tests using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools
• Own automation framework maintenance, including refactoring, flaky-test analysis, selector/locator stability, and performance optimization
• Debug complex automation failures across UI, API, environment, and pipeline layers
• Work closely with developers and product teams to promote shift-left testing
• Participate in automation code reviews and contribute to test framework architecture and design decisions
• Continuously improve automation coverage, reliability, maintainability, and execution speed

We are looking for an experienced Senior UI Automation Test Engineer to join our engineering team and take ownership of building, maintaining, and improving robust end-to-end test automation frameworks.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable UI automation frameworks using Playwright
• Build comprehensive E2E automated test suites covering critical user journeys and business workflows
• Integrate automated test execution into GitHub Actions / CI/CD pipelines
• Develop and maintain API automation tests using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools
• Own automation framework maintenance, including refactoring, flaky-test analysis, selector/locator stability, and performance optimization
• Debug complex automation failures across UI, API, environment, and pipeline layers
• Work closely with developers and product teams to promote shift-left testing

What We're Looking For

• 5-9 years of overall QA/Test Engineering experience

• Strong experience in API Testing - REST / Postman / REST Assured
• Good knowledge of Git, pull requests, and code-review practices
• Excellent debugging and root-cause analysis capabilities
• Strong communication and ability to collaborate closely with engineering and product teams

Good to Have

Experience with Cypress/Selenium, Docker, cloud-based CI environments, visual regression testing, Allure/ReportPortal, Azure/AWS, or mentoring junior QA engineers would be an advantage.
